How does it work when you are alone in your role and work remotely? 'Top! ' says our Sales & Marketing Automation Specialist Petter Cete. Petter has been working at Smarkify since 2020 and has worked almost exclusively remotely, but still feels like an obvious part of the team.
Petters role as Sales & Marketing Automation Specialist
Petter works as a Sales and Marketing Automation Specialist, which means that he helps customers work in Hubspot as a CRM and automation system. Both for those who are new to the platform or those who want to develop their use.
“My role is to be a sounding board and advisor to our clients when it comes to using HubSpot as a CRM and automation system. I help them with everything from technical onboarding and training to ongoing support to develop their use of the platform.”
Petter's role requires not only technical expertise but also a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges.
“One of the biggest challenges is managing the unique processes and needs of different customers, even when using the same system as HubSpot. So we work a lot with dialogue to identify the needs and opportunities for improvement.”
By helping clients streamline their sales process, develop their marketing strategy, and understand their CRM system, he gives them the tools they need to implement new approaches, maximize their potential and achieve their business goals.

Self on the role, but not alone
Although Petter is the team's only Sales & Marketing Automation Specialist, he is far from alone. One of the biggest advantages of working at Smarkify, according to Petter, is the broad skill base within the team.
“We often collaborate in different constellations where we put together a team with several different competencies depending on what the customer needs right there and then. Project managers are the hub of the projects and facilitate communication and collaboration between different team members.”
An obvious part of the team despite the distance
Smarkify's office is located in Stockholm, but Petter lives in and works mostly from Örebro. A few times a month he comes in to the office to hang out or take meetings live. He appreciates having the flexibility that telecommuting offers.
“Working remotely works great for me. I still feel like a part of the team thanks to the effective communication via Slack and Teams.”
What Petter appreciates most about working at Smarkify is the combination of fun tasks and lovely colleagues.
“Everyone in the team has a “can do” attitude. We take on challenges together, we do it really well and have fun along the way!”
